Good Afternoon,
Hope this email finds you and your family safe and well. These are strange times indeed. We are used to the regular visits and communication with our clients and friends of the firm but for the last five weeks, for good reason, that contact has largely come to a grinding halt. We hope you are doing well and our thoughts go out at this time to you and your family.
Many of you have contacted us with legal concerns over Covid-19. Many essential workers in particular are questioning whether they are protected by workers comp. Many will be if their work is considered high risk like nurses and home health aides. Others are concerned about the enforceability of contracts and whether transactions are still occurring in this environment.
We are open to handle your questions. Claims for work injuries and social security disability can still be processed at this time. Some contracts are not enforceable and transactions are still occurring at this time.
We are here to help. Let’s hope things return to normal very soon.
Sincerly,
Bruce S. Lipsey, Esq. and Scott J. Clifford, Esq.
